I began working as a professional Black Hnong batik artist at the age of 14. The beeswax and the indigo
I use all come from around my village. Nature inspires me for my batik drawings, appliques
and embroidery. Batik art helped me to raise a family after my husband died. I am currently
teaching batik to my neighbors to produce decorated fabric and sustain our village.
